We run a frequent, on-demand service throughout the day, so no need to pre-book.
We prefer contactless and card payments, but also accept cash payments.
Payment is at the top station regardless of your direction of travel (up or down the hill).
FARES
Standard Single: £1.50
Standard Return: £2.60
Resident's Single: 75p
Resident's Return: £1.30
Children aged 5 and under, dogs and carers with valid ID travel free of charge.

RESIDENT'S PARTNER CARD
We know how important it is to make the most of the local community and to support each other, and that’s why we introduced our Resident’s Partner Card in 2025.
The card allows 50% off the standard tram fare (single or return) and 15% anything from our Victorian shopping cart! (Plus, you’ll also receive a free gift! )
To apply for your Resident Pass, use the application form below.
Bring a copy to the top station with proof of address.
The card only applies to YO11, YO12, and YO13 postcodes.
Dogs welcome (no charge).
No need to book in advance just pay when you travel (payment is taken at the top station).
